Treatments
As experts in the field of Surrogacy and Egg Donation, Dr. Bruce Shapiro and Dr. Carrie Bedient have helped thousands of couples achieve their dream of parenthood. They believe that availability and ongoing patient communication combined with state of the art reproductive technology are integral to providing the ultimate in patient care. For men and women who are unable to use their own eggs or sperm, those who want to parent without a partner and same sex couples, pregnancy may be achieved using a third party (donor eggs, donor sperm, and/or a gestational carrier (GC)/surrogate).
Open Egg Donation
Our center has its own egg donation program that provides ease of access to affordable donated eggs. Many international countries have strict regulations regarding egg donation. Non-US countries may require complete anonymity leaving intended parents with no choice in the egg donor or any photos/information about the woman whom is donating her eggs. With our program, intended parents are able to browse our extensive egg donor database that includes many photos of the egg donor at various life stages, their detailed medical family history and insights into the donor’s personality. Intended parents can then choose a donor that resembles themselves and best suits their personal qualifications.
Gestational Carriers (GC)/Surrogates
A Gestational Carrier/Surrogate is a woman who agrees to carry a baby through pregnancy for an individual or couple. She only provides a host uterus for the baby but does not contribute genetic material. The embryo is created using an egg from a female intended parent or an egg donor which is fertilized by sperm provided by a male partner or a sperm donor.
Our experts work in conjunction with reputable agencies that provide careful screening and uphold strict criteria for egg/sperm donation and gestational carriers/surrogates. This is to ensure the highest medical safety and also protects future parents from potential legal complications.
Legal Guidance
Every country has specific laws and regulations regarding international surrogacy and parental order, which is why we refer our international patients to a family lawyer in their home country.
We understand that every patient’s circumstances are unique and require a varying level of oversight and sensitivity – which is why we have assembled a team of professionals specializing in third party reproduction. Our staff understands the complex nature of these assisted reproductive therapies and is prepared to patiently walk you, your partner and your Donor/Surrogate through this process.
